Ten years to the week of deciding to open a distillery while touring distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, B.H. James Distillers’ owner Shawn McCormick and team bottle their very first batch of Burton James Uniquely American Whiskey; named after McCormick’s Great-Grandfather Burton Hulon James who played professional baseball from 1908 to 1919. Each batch of Burton James Whiskey is a one of a kind blend of 5 to 7 barrels of premium American whiskey. The first batch is named: Rookie Season: Opener and is comprised of two types of Bourbon Whiskey, a Rye Whiskey, and a Light Whiskey. Future unique expressions will be released 3 to 4 times a year.
