After 10 weeks of diligently distilling on our little 25 gallon pot still in every crazy weather condition imaginable, we collected 34 gallons of 106.4 Proof Kentucky Grit Corn Whiskey and [mostly] filled a 53 gallon barrel that previously held bourbon; which is now in Batch 3 of Burton James Whiskey. The Kentucky Grit Corn is made with 81% Logan County Non-GMO Yellow Corn, 10% Logan County Rye, 5% Kentucky Grown and Malted Barley, and 4% Oats from the US Midwest. We will release a limited amount after aging for half the time it took to make (5 weeks old) during the 75th Adairville Strawberry Festival May 18 – 20, so make sure you stop by and give it a try!
